Common causes: This is one of the most common failures, usually caused by too little water in the water tank, a clogged steam hole, or a problem with the machine's heater.
Solution:
Check the water tank: First, see if the water in the water tank is used up. If the water level is too low, fill it up with water. Note that when using a garment steamer, the water tank should have enough water to produce stable steam.
Clean the steam hole: If the water level is fine, then check if the steam outlet is blocked. After using the garment steamer for a long time, the steam hole may be blocked by scale, resulting in the inability to release steam smoothly. At this point, you can use a special cleaning tool or a simple toothpick to gently unclog the hole.
Check the power and temperature settings: Make sure the steamer is plugged in and set to the appropriate temperature. Some steamers need to be preheated before they can start working.
2. Steam sprays water droplets
Common causes: This problem is usually caused by the water used in the steamer's water tank being too hard and containing more minerals, which accumulates inside after long-term use, or the temperature of the ironing machine is set incorrectly.
Solution:
Switch to purified or soft water: If you use tap water, the minerals in it may accumulate inside the machine, causing water droplets to spray out. It is best to switch to purified or soft water to reduce the formation of scale.
Adjust the temperature: Before you start ironing, make sure the steamer is fully preheated to the appropriate temperature. If the temperature is too low, water may spray out before the steam turns into water droplets.
3. The steamer does not heat up
Common causes: If the machine does not heat up at all, there may be a problem with the power cord or a damaged internal heating element.
Check the heating indicator light: Some steam hanging irons have a heating indicator light. If the indicator light is not on, it means that the heater may not be working properly. If this is the case, professional repair may be required.
Check the switch: Confirm whether the switch is turned on. Some steam hanging irons have different heating modes. Make sure the correct mode is selected.
4. The amount of steam is unstable during ironing
Common causes: This problem is usually caused by unstable water level in the water tank or scale accumulation inside the machine affecting the steam flow.
Solution:
Ensure the water level in the water tank is appropriate: If there is too little water in the water tank, the amount of steam will become unstable. It is recommended to maintain the appropriate water level in the water tank during use.
Clean the water tank and steam pipe regularly: Clean the machine regularly to prevent scale accumulation. You can use some special descaling detergents, or mix white vinegar and water to clean it. Remember to unplug the power supply when cleaning and wait for the machine to cool down before cleaning.
5. Overheating of the handheld steamer
Common causes: If used continuously for a long time, the steamer may overheat. Overheating will cause automatic power-off protection and may even damage the machine.
Solution:
Reasonable use: Avoid using the machine continuously for a long time. When using, you can take a break every 15-20 minutes to give the machine time to cool down and avoid overheating.
